The chosen topic for my research into game studies was artificial intelligence (AI), in this paper I first looked at the history of AI in video games and split this into three distinct time periods. 

Next I wrote about the present day techniques used within AI such as goal-oriented action planning (goap), behaviour trees (bts), Utility AI, etc.

Finally, I discussed what the future of AI in video games could be, such as the augmenting of behaviour trees or the inclusion of neural networks for advanced learning in AI.
